Most people on Flowting want what you want. A few simple habits keep you safe with the few who don’t.
In danger right now? Leave, go somewhere public and call the local emergency number: 911 in the US.
Before you meet
- Keep the chat on Flowting until you trust the person. Don’t share your last name, address, workplace or phone number early.
- Flowting does not run criminal background checks. The selfie check means the face matches the photos. It doesn’t mean the person is safe or honest.
- Take your time. Say no to anyone who pushes you to hurry or to meet somewhere private.
On the date
- Meet in a busy public place, and get there and home on your own.
- Tell a friend where you’re going and when you’ll be back.
- Leave whenever you want. You never owe anyone more time.
Scams
Never send money, gift cards or crypto to someone you met on Flowting, whatever the story. Be careful with anyone who wants to move to another app quickly. If a message looks like a scam, we show you a warning.
