Flowting Child Safety Standards

Last updated: October 15, 2026
Flowting is a dating app for adults. Nobody under 18 may use it, and some countries set a higher minimum age. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM). This page says how we keep minors out, what we forbid, and how to report a problem.

1. Who can use Flowting

  • You must be 18 or older, or the higher minimum age where you are (for example 21 in the United Arab Emirates).
  • We check age in several ways: your birthday, the age range your app store tells us, and an age estimate on the photos that show only you. Where the law requires it, we use the age signal from your device.
  • Every member takes a selfie check before they can say yes to anyone.
  • If we think an account belongs to a minor, we suspend it at once until a person reviews it.

2. What we forbid

  • Any sexual content that involves a minor, or looks like it does.
  • Any sexual talk with a minor, or grooming of a minor.
  • Pretending to be a minor, or including a minor in any way (photos of children are not allowed on profiles).
  • Sharing, asking for or linking to CSAM.
The account is closed, the evidence is kept safe, and we report it to the authorities.

3. How we find it

  • Our own software checks every photo before it is shown: faces, nudity and age estimate.
  • We check messages for abuse.
  • A person reviews every flagged photo, every unclear selfie check and every urgent report.

4. How to report

Urgent reports (a suspected minor, a threat, or harm) reach a person on our team at once. If a child is in danger now, call your local emergency number first: 911 in the US, 112 in the EU, 999 in the UK.

5. What we do with reports

  • We remove the content and close the account.
  • We report apparent CSAM and child exploitation to the US National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) through the CyberTipline. Where the law requires, we also report to other authorities, for example the Canadian Centre for Child Protection (Cybertip.ca) and the eSafety Commissioner in Australia.
  • We keep the reported content and related data securely for 1 year, as US law requires, or longer if an authority asks.
  • We answer valid requests from law enforcement. See our guide for law enforcement.
