Flowting Community Guidelines

Last updated: October 12, 2026
Flowting is for meeting someone real, in your city and on your trips. These rules keep it safe and kind. They apply in the app, in chat, and when you meet people from Flowting in person.
If someone breaks these rules, tap Report on their profile or in the chat. You can report even after you unmatch. Anyone, with or without an account, can also use our form at getflowting.com/report-content, or email [email protected] with "Report" in the subject line.

1. Be real

  • Be yourself. Use your real first name, your real age and photos of you.
  • One account per person. No shared accounts, no second accounts.
  • Your first photo is you. Just you, face clear, no sunglasses or masks. It must match your selfie check.
  • Real and recent photos. Taken with a camera, not made with AI. No photos of other people, celebrities or models. No childhood photos.
  • Be honest about why you are here. Flowting is for dating. Do not use it to find customers, followers or business contacts.
  • Be honest about your situation. If you are in a relationship, say so on your profile.

2. Your photos

  • Keep it clothed. No nudity, underwear, lingerie or see-through clothes. No sexy poses, even when clothed.
  • Beach and sport are fine. Swimwear or shirtless is OK, for example at the beach, at the pool or doing sport. In some countries these photos are hidden from people browsing there (see below).
  • No children. Not even your own, your nieces or your nephews. Their photos stay private.
  • No weapons, no drugs. A kitchen knife while cooking is fine.
  • Animals: pets, yes. No posing with tigers, elephant rides or other captive wild animals.
  • Groups are fine as extra photos. We need to see which one is you.
  • No contact details on photos. No phone numbers, @handles, QR codes or links.
  • No hate symbols, no violence, no gore.
If a photo is not added, we tell you why. For example:
  • "This photo shows underwear or lingerie. Try one where you're dressed."
  • "We couldn't see you in this photo. Add one where your face is clear."
  • "This photo has a child in it. Please use a photo without kids."
  • "This photo looks AI-made. Please use a real photo of you."
In some countries, beach, swimwear and some other photos are hidden from people browsing there, to respect local rules. Everyone else still sees them.

3. Be respectful

  • No harassment. No insults, threats, stalking, or repeated messages to someone who stopped replying.
  • No means no. If someone says no, unmatches, or stops replying, let it go. Do not try to reach them another way.
  • No hate. No attacks on anyone for their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age or body.
  • Respect gender identity. Do not misgender people on purpose. Do not ask anyone to "prove" their gender.
  • No outing. Never threaten to reveal, or reveal, someone's sexual orientation, gender identity, HIV status or private life.
  • No fetishizing. Do not treat people as a type because of their race, nationality, body or gender.
  • Respect privacy. Do not share screenshots of chats, photos, or details of other members outside Flowting without their permission.

4. Keep it safe

  • Nobody under 18. Never pretend to be a minor, talk about sex with a minor, or include a minor in any way. We report child sexual abuse to the authorities.
  • No sexual content in chat. Do not send sexual messages to someone who did not ask for them. Do not ask for nudes. Do not pressure anyone.
  • No sex for money. No escorts, no "sugar" arrangements, no paying for dates, gifts or trips in return for sex or company.
  • No intimate images without consent. Never share or threaten to share intimate images of anyone. This includes fake or AI-made images.
  • No violence. No threats, and no violence on a date or after it. What happens on a date counts. If you hurt someone you met on Flowting, we ban you, even if it happened offline.
  • No scams. Never ask for money, gift cards, crypto, bank details or "investment" help. Do not ask someone to verify themselves on another website.
  • No pressure to leave the app. It is fine to swap numbers when you both want to. It is not fine to push someone off Flowting before they are ready.
  • Do not ask where someone is staying early in a chat, and do not push to meet at a home or hotel.
  • No illegal activity. No drugs, no weapons sales, no trafficking, nothing that breaks the law.

5. Use Flowting fairly

  • No bots, fake accounts or automated messages.
  • No copying the same message to many people.
  • No selling, advertising or promoting.
  • No collecting other members' data, and no scraping.
  • No trying to get around our checks, limits or bans. This includes using a VPN to hide where you are.
  • No false reports. Reports help keep people safe. Reporting someone who did nothing wrong, to hurt them, is itself a breach of these rules.

6. How reports work

  • Tap Report on a profile, in a chat, or in your list of past matches.
  • The person disappears for you at once. You will not see each other again.
  • We act. Automated tools and, for serious cases, a person review the report.
  • We tell you the result. We do not tell the reported person who reported them.
Urgent cases (a threat, a suspected minor, or harm on a date) reach a person on our team at once. If you are in danger now, call the local emergency number first: 911 in the US, 112 in the EU.
"Something felt wrong" after a date? Use this option in the app. It goes to our urgent queue.
Someone asking for intimate photos, or threatening to share yours? Tap Report and choose "Someone is threatening to share my photos". You can also email [email protected] with "Intimate image" in the subject line, even without an account. We remove such images within 48 hours of a valid request, and we block copies.

7. What happens if someone breaks the rules

What we do depends on how serious it is and whether it happened before.
A photo breaks the photo rules
What we may do
We do not add it, and we tell you why
A minor breach, such as a rude message
What we may do
A warning and a strike. Strikes fade after 90 days
One report
What we may do
The person is hidden from the reporter, and gets a strike
Reports from two different people
What we may do
The person is taken out of everyone's picks while we check
Reports from three different people
What we may do
The account is put on hold everywhere until a person on our team confirms or lifts it
A clear scam pattern plus a report (for example asking for money or crypto and pushing to another app)
What we may do
The account is closed everywhere
A threat, a suspected minor, or harm on a date
What we may do
The account is suspended at once until a person reviews it
Sexual content involving a minor
What we may do
The account is closed, the evidence is kept safe, and we report it to the authorities
A ban
What we may do
The person cannot create a new account
A computer check alone never bans anyone. A ban needs a report together with a clear pattern, or a person's review.
We always tell you why. If we limit your account, hide your profile or remove your content, we send you a message. It says what we did, for how long, which rule, the facts we relied on, whether a computer made the decision, and how to appeal. We do not secretly hide people.
We do not punish people for their gender. There is no "wrong gender" report. We act on what people do, such as fake photos, harassment or threats, not on who they are.

8. Appeals

If you think we got it wrong:
  • Tap Appeal in the message we sent you, or email [email protected] within 6 months.
  • Tell us why. Add anything that helps.
  • We check the case again with all the evidence. You can ask for a person to review it.
  • We tell you the result and the reason.
If you still disagree, you can go to a court, or to an out-of-court dispute body where your law gives you that right.

9. If you do not use the app

People who are not on Flowting can report content too, for example a photo of them used without permission, an intimate image, or illegal content. Use our form at getflowting.com/report-content, or getflowting.com/take-it-down for an intimate image. You do not need an account. Tell us what the content is, where it is, and why it is a problem. We confirm that we received your report, and we email you what we decided and how to disagree. If you report something about a child, you may stay anonymous.

10. Questions
