Flowting Terms of Use
Last updated: October 12, 2026
Effective from: October 12, 2026
Please read these terms. They are the agreement between you and us when you use Flowting. We wrote them in plain words. If something is unclear, email us at [email protected].
In short
- You must be 18 or older. In some countries the minimum age is higher (for example 21 in the United Arab Emirates).
- FLOWTING DOES NOT CONDUCT CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECKS ON ITS MEMBERS. Read our Safety Tips before you meet anyone.
- Flowting Plus renews on its own until you cancel. You cancel and ask for refunds through Apple or Google.
- You can delete your account at any time in the app or on our website.
- We cannot promise you a match or a date.
1. Who we are
Flowting is an app and website run by VeriTek L.L.C-FZ, a limited liability free zone company registered with the Meydan Free Zone Authority in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
- Address: Meydan Grandstand, 6th floor, Meydan Road, Nad Al Sheba, Dubai, UAE
- Managing director: James Bechet
- Email: [email protected]. We answer in English.
Points of contact. Members, people who report content, and authorities can all reach us at [email protected]. This is our single point of contact under Articles 11 and 12 of the EU Digital Services Act and for orders from authorities in any country. Our Law Enforcement Guide explains how authorities send requests.
In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean VeriTek. "You" means the person who uses Flowting. "Flowting" means our apps, our website and everything we offer through them.
2. Agreeing to these terms
You agree to these terms when you create an account or use Flowting. If you do not agree, do not use Flowting.
These documents are part of the agreement:
- our Privacy Policy
Our Safety Tips, Background Check Notice, Law Enforcement Guide, Cookie Notice and Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy explain how things work. They are not extra rules for you.
3. Who can use Flowting
You can use Flowting only if all of these are true:
- You are at least 18, or the higher minimum age where you are. The app tells you if a higher age applies.
- You can make a binding contract where you live.
- You are single, or you are open about your situation on your profile.
- You are not required to register as a sex offender anywhere.
- You have never been convicted of a violent crime or a sexual crime.
- We have not banned you from Flowting before.
- You are not in a country or region where Flowting is not available, and you do not use tools such as a VPN to hide where you are.
- You are not on a government list of people that companies may not deal with (for example a sanctions list).
You may only have one account.
Checks on age. We check age in several ways. These include your birthday, the age range your app store tells us, and an age estimate on your profile photos that show only you. In some US states, the law requires us to use the age signal from the app store. If any check suggests you are under the minimum age, we close the account.
4. Your account
- You sign in with your email and a one-time code. We do not use passwords.
- Keep your email account safe. Anyone who can read your email can sign in to Flowting as you.
- Give true information. Your name, age and photos must be yours and must be current.
- Tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account.
- You are responsible for what happens in your account, unless it happened because of our mistake.
5. How Flowting works
Flowting is a dating app for the city you live in, and for the cities you travel to.
- Picks start when enough people who fit you join near you. Until then you are on the waitlist where you live, and the app shows your progress as a percent, never a number of people. We never add fake profiles or inflate it.
- Daily picks. Each day we show you a small number of people. Our own software ranks them, based on your answers, your city, your trips and the choices both of you made. We do not sell a higher place in other people's picks.
- Matches. You can only chat with someone after you both said yes.
- Trips. You can add trips. Before you match, people only see roughly how long you overlap in a city. After you match, they see the week. Your exact dates are only shared inside a date plan you both agree to.
- Your city. We check your city with your phone's location while the app is open. We keep the city, not your exact location.
- AI profile draft. When you join, our AI may ask you three short questions and write a first draft of your profile. You can change or delete every word before it is shown. After that, the AI does not write your profile. See section 12.
We may change, add or remove features. If a change takes away a main part of Flowting Plus during a period you paid for, see section 10.
We cannot promise that you will get matches, dates, or a relationship. We also cannot promise that a city will open by a certain date.
6. Different rules in different countries
Laws and safety risks are not the same everywhere. So Flowting works a little differently from country to country. We decide this by where you are now, not by where you come from.
- Not available. In some countries Flowting is not available at all.
- Not available yet. In some countries the law asks us to appoint a local representative, register or get a licence before we serve anyone. Flowting opens there once that step is done. Until then you can leave your email to hear when it opens.
- LGBTQ+ hidden mode. In some countries, same-gender relationships are against the law or are dangerous. In those countries we turn off same-gender matching for people who are located there. We also hide LGBTQ+ and non-binary profiles from them, and we hide LGBTQ+ users who are located there from everyone. We do this to protect people, not to judge anyone.
- Discreet notifications. In those same countries, notifications do not show names or message text by default.
- Photos. In a few countries, some photos (for example beach photos) are hidden from people browsing there.
- Age. The minimum age can be higher.
- Trips. You cannot add trips to some places.
7. Safety: what we do and what we do not do
What we do. We check every photo before it is shown. Everyone takes a selfie check before they can say yes to anyone. We check messages for scams and abuse. We act on reports, and we ban people who break our rules.
What we do not do.
FLOWTING DOES NOT CONDUCT CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECKS ON ITS MEMBERS. WE DO NOT CHECK THE IDENTITY, PAST OR INTENTIONS OF OUR MEMBERS.
Our checks lower risk. They do not remove it. A selfie check shows that a real person matches the photos. It does not show that the person is safe, honest, or single.
Your part.
- You are responsible for how you act with other members, in the app and when you meet.
- Never send money or financial details to someone you met on Flowting.
- If you feel unsafe, leave and call the local emergency number (911 in the US, 112 in the EU).
We are not responsible for what members do, on or off Flowting, except where the law makes us responsible.
8. Your content
"Your content" means what you add to Flowting: photos, profile text, answers, messages, trips and reports.
- You own your content. You keep all rights to it.
- You give us permission to use it to run Flowting. You let us store, copy, resize, translate, check and show your content to other members, as the app describes. This permission is worldwide and free. It ends when you delete the content or your account, except for the copies we must keep (see the "How long we keep data" section of the Privacy Policy).
- We do not use your photos in ads, and we do not sell your content.
- You promise that you have the right to post your content, and that it follows these terms and the Community Guidelines.
- Messages stay between you and your match. Other members cannot see them. Our systems check messages for scams and abuse (see the Privacy Policy).
If you think content on Flowting breaks the law or your rights (for example a scam, a threat, a fake profile or copyright), tap Report in the app, or use our form at getflowting.com/report-content. For an intimate image shared without consent, use getflowting.com/take-it-down. You do not need an account. We confirm that we received your report, a person decides, and we email you the decision and how to disagree.
9. Rules, reports and what we do about them
- harass, threaten, scare or hurt anyone, on or off Flowting
- post nudity or sexual content, or ask others for it
- offer or ask for sex for money, gifts or travel ("sugar" deals, escorts)
- scam people, ask for money, or promote a business
- pretend to be someone else, or use photos that are not you
- involve anyone under 18 in any way
- threaten to reveal someone's sexual orientation or gender identity
- use bots, scrape data, or try to get around our safety systems
- use Flowting if we banned you
What we may do. If we believe someone broke these terms or the law, we may remove content, hide a profile from picks, limit features, put an account on hold, or close it.
How we moderate. Our own software checks every photo (faces, nudity, age estimate, signs of an AI-made face) and flags possible scams and abuse in chats. A person reviews every flagged photo, every unclear selfie check, every report about a possible minor or a threat, and every appeal. Automated tools may reject a photo that clearly breaks our rules or put an account on hold while a person looks; they never ban anyone on their own. We act in a fair and proportionate way and respect the rights of everyone involved, including freedom of expression and privacy.
We tell you why. When we limit or close your account or remove your content, we tell you what we did, why, which rule it was, and whether a computer made the decision. We do not secretly hide people ("shadow bans").
You can appeal. You can ask us to look again within 6 months. Use the link in our message, or email [email protected]. You can ask for a person to review the decision. You can also go to a court, or to an out-of-court dispute body where your law gives you that right.
If you reported someone. We email you what we decided. If you disagree, write to [email protected] within 6 months with your reference, and someone else on our team looks again. Replies to our automatic emails are not read. A decision about your own account or photos is appealed in the app instead (Settings, then Account status, then Ask for a review) or with the link in our message.
We may tell the police. If we learn about a threat to someone's life or safety, we may tell the police. We report child sexual abuse material to the authorities, as the law requires. See our Law Enforcement Guide.
10. Flowting Plus (paid subscription)
What it is. Flowting is free to use. Flowting Plus adds extra features, such as more daily picks, picks in a city before you arrive, a list of people who said yes to you, more Super Yes, extra filters and rewind. The app shows the current list before you buy. Safety and privacy tools are always free.
No payment before your city opens. We only offer Plus once Flowting is open for you.
Prices. The app store shows the price, in your currency, before you pay. In the US, the prices at launch are $19.99 for 1 month, $49.99 for 3 months and $99.99 for 1 year. Taxes may be added by the store. Everyone in the same store country pays the same price. We never set prices by age, gender or any personal trait.
It renews on its own. Plus renews at the end of each period, at the same length and price, until you cancel. The store charges you within 24 hours before the period ends.
How to cancel. Cancel at any time in your Apple ID or Google Play subscription settings. Flowting has a "Manage subscription" button that takes you there. When you cancel, you keep Plus until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting the app or your Flowting account does not cancel your subscription. Cancel it in the store first.
Refunds. Apple or Google take the payment, so refunds go through them:
- Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com
- Google: Google Play order history, or Google Play Help
Google lets us give refunds ourselves in some cases. We may do so, for example if Plus gave you no matches in your first 14 days. Your local law may also give you refund rights. These terms do not take those rights away.
Your right to withdraw where your law gives one (for example in the EU, the UK, Brazil or Mexico). Apple or Google sells Plus to you and handles the withdrawal through its own process. If you ask Plus to start at once and then withdraw within the period, the store may refund the price minus the part for the days you used.
Reminders and price changes. If you have a yearly plan, we send you a reminder before it renews. We tell you before a price goes up. The store may ask you to agree to the new price. If you do not agree, the subscription ends at the end of the current period.
Your right to cancel in some US states. If you live in Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island or Wisconsin, you have these extra rights:
- 3 business days to change your mind. You may cancel Plus, with no penalty and no obligation, until midnight of the third business day after the day you bought it.
- How to cancel. Email [email protected] from the email address on your account, or send a signed and dated letter to VeriTek L.L.C-FZ (address in section 1). Say that you cancel Plus, and give your name and the email address on your account.
- Your money back. If you paid us directly, we refund you within 10 days of your notice. If you paid through Apple or Google, the store makes the refund. We tell you how to ask for it and we support your request.
- Death or disability. If you die, or a disability stops you from using Flowting, before your paid period ends, you or your estate can get back the part of the payment for the time after that date. Ask in the same way.
Disputes about a charge. If you get a refund or dispute a charge with your bank, Plus ends. We do not ban or punish you for asking for a refund.
Offer codes. We may give free Plus through Apple offer codes or Google promo codes, for example to Founding Members or for referrals. The code's own terms apply.
If we close your account for breaking the rules, you do not get a refund for the rest of the period, unless the law says otherwise. If we close your account for another reason, or stop Flowting, we will help you get a refund for the unused time through the store, where the store allows it.
11. Free features and limits
Free accounts get a set number of picks and Super Yes each day or week. The app shows the current limits. We may change limits for free accounts. We will not reduce what you get from Plus during a period you already paid for.
12. AI in Flowting
We use AI in only two places:
- Your profile draft. When you join, an AI asks up to three questions and writes a first draft of your profile. It tells you it is an AI. You can edit or delete anything before it is shown. You can skip it and write your own.
- Safety. AI tools help us check photos and flag possible scams or abuse in reports and flagged chats.
Our AI does not rank who you see. Our own code does that. AI can make mistakes. Check your draft before you save it. You are responsible for your profile once you save it.
We do not send who you are interested in, your gender identity, or other sensitive answers to AI tools. The Privacy Policy names our AI providers.
13. Our app and our rights
We own Flowting, its name, logo, design and software. We give you a personal, limited right to use the Flowting app on devices you own or control, only for your own use and only under these terms. You may not:
- copy, change, sell or rent the app
- try to get its source code, unless the law allows it
- use Flowting for a business, or to collect data about members
- use our name or logo without our written permission
14. Apple and Google
If you got Flowting from the Apple App Store or Google Play:
- This agreement is between you and VeriTek, not Apple or Google. We, not Apple or Google, are responsible for Flowting and its content.
- Apple and Google have no duty to provide support or maintenance for Flowting.
- If Flowting does not work as we promised, you may tell Apple, and Apple may refund the price you paid for the app (if any). Apple has no other duty about warranties, as far as the law allows.
- We, not Apple or Google, handle any claim about Flowting. This includes product liability claims, claims that Flowting breaks a law, and consumer protection or privacy claims.
- If someone claims that Flowting breaks their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple or Google, handle it.
- You must follow the store's own terms (for example Apple's Usage Rules) and the terms of your mobile carrier.
- Apple, Google and their subsidiaries may enforce these terms against you as third-party beneficiaries.
- Questions and complaints: [email protected], or VeriTek L.L.C-FZ, Meydan Grandstand, 6th floor, Meydan Road, Nad Al Sheba, Dubai, UAE.
15. Other services
Flowting may link to other services, such as maps of date places from OpenStreetMap, or emergency numbers. We do not control them and are not responsible for them. Date ideas are suggestions only. Check that a place is open and safe before you go.
16. Ending your account
You can leave at any time. Delete your account in the app (Settings, then Delete account) or at getflowting.com/delete. Remember to cancel Plus in the store too. The Privacy Policy explains what we delete and what we must keep for a while.
You can pause. You can pause your profile instead. Paused profiles do not appear in picks.
We can end or limit your account if you break these terms, if the law requires it, if your use puts others at risk, or if Flowting stops being available where you are. We tell you why, unless the law or a safety reason stops us (see section 9).
If we stop Flowting, we will tell you at least 30 days before, unless we cannot because of the law or an emergency.
17. What we promise and what we do not
We work hard to keep Flowting safe and working. But we provide Flowting "as is". As far as the law allows, we do not promise that:
- Flowting will always be available or free of errors
- other members are who they say they are, or that they tell the truth
- you will find a match or a relationship
Many countries give consumers rights that a company cannot remove. Nothing in these terms limits those rights.
18. Limits on our liability
As far as the law allows:
- We are not responsible for losses we could not have foreseen.
- We are not responsible for what other members do, on or off Flowting.
- If we are responsible to you, the most we will pay is the larger of (a) what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) US$100.
These limits do not apply where the law does not allow them. They never limit our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law says a company cannot limit.
19. If you cause a claim against us
If someone makes a claim against us because you broke these terms or the law, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of that claim, as far as the law allows. This does not apply to consumers in places where the law does not allow it.
20. Problems and disputes
Talk to us first. Most problems can be solved quickly. Email [email protected] and tell us what happened and what you want. We will reply and try to solve it within 60 days. While we try, the time limits for bringing a claim are paused, as far as the law allows. This step never stops you from going to the police, a regulator or a court in an emergency.
Which law applies.
- If you live in the United States: these terms are governed by the law of the US state where you live and by US federal law.
- If you live anywhere else: these terms are governed by the law of the country where you live.
- Nothing in these terms takes away a protection that the law of the place where you live gives you as a consumer and that cannot be waived.
Where to bring a claim.
- In the United States: you can bring a claim in the state or federal courts for the county where you live. You can also use a small claims court if your claim fits there.
- Anywhere else: you can bring a claim in the courts where you live, or in the courts of Dubai.
- If we ever need to bring a claim against you, we will bring it only in the courts where you live.
No arbitration and no class-action waiver. These terms have no arbitration clause. You keep your right to go to court, to a jury trial where the law gives one, and to join a group (class) action. If we ever add an arbitration clause, we will tell you at least 30 days before. It will apply only to disputes that start after you accept it, and you will be able to say no to it and keep using Flowting.
21. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms, for example when the law or Flowting changes. If a change is important, we tell you in the app or by email at least 30 days before it applies, unless the law or a safety reason requires a faster change. If you do not agree, you can delete your account before the change applies. If you keep using Flowting after the date, the new terms apply.
22. Other legal points
- If a court finds part of these terms invalid, the rest still applies.
- If we do not enforce a rule at once, we can still enforce it later.
- You may not transfer this agreement to someone else. We may transfer it to a company that takes over Flowting, if your rights stay the same.
- We are not responsible for delays caused by events we cannot control, such as a natural disaster, a war, or a large internet outage.
- These terms are written in English. If we give you a translation and the two differ, the version in your language applies where your law requires it. Otherwise the English version applies.
Grievance officer (India). Under the Information Technology Rules 2021, our grievance officer is James Bechet, VeriTek L.L.C-FZ, Meydan Grandstand, 6th floor, Meydan Road, Nad Al Sheba, Dubai, UAE, [email protected] (subject line "Grievance"). We acknowledge a complaint within 24 hours and resolve it within 15 days.
23. Notice for California users

Flowting is not available everywhere. Where a law needs a local representative, a registration or a licence before we serve people, Flowting stays closed in that country until that step is done (see section 6 and section 18 of the Privacy Policy). We will name our EU and UK representatives here before Flowting opens there.
