Why am I waiting
Your picks start when enough people who fit you are nearby. We never add fake or bot profiles to make Flowting look busy, so in some places this takes a while.
What the bar shows
The bar on the Picks tab shows how close you are to your first picks, in steps of 5%. It never shows how many people there are.
Who counts
A person counts toward your picks when:
- their profile is ready: approved photos and a passed selfie check
- they used Flowting in the last 2 weeks
- they fit what you want, and you fit what they want: who you’re interested in and ages
- you can both reach each other. With distance on Auto, we look further out step by step, up to about an hour away.
Get your own profile ready
You get picks, and you count for other people, only when your profile is ready:
- at least 3 approved photos
- a passed selfie check
- a recent location check for where you live

Ways to get there sooner
- Share Flowting. Know someone single near you? Every real person who joins can get you there sooner.
- Widen who you see. Go to You › Settings › Who you see and change ages or distance. After a change, we tell you if your picks may start sooner.
When picks start
When you get there, your first picks arrive at the next 6 pm your time, at least 12 hours later. On the day, we send a notification and an email. To learn how picks work after that, see How picks work.
